run before anything that needs the `structure` command (check, serve, compile, or any other); if it is not installed, offer the one install line for this machine and wait for a yes

Notices when the structure command is not on this machine and offers the one line that installs it, then runs structure check once. When the command is already there it does nothing.

Skill — install-structure

This folder is kept by Structure, and the structure command checks it. An agent that opens the folder on a machine without the command cannot run that check. This skill notices, and offers to fix it.

When to use. Before running structure check, structure serve, structure compile, or any other structure command, and whenever the person asks for something that needs one.

Steps.

  1. Look for the command: command -v runstructure || command -v structure. A structure found this way is ours only if structure --version prints a date, like 2026-10-06; another program shares the name, and that one counts as not installed.

  2. If ours is there, say nothing about this skill and carry on with the task.

  3. If it is not, tell the person the structure command is not installed and offer the one line for their machine:

There is no build for Windows or an Intel Mac yet; say so and stop.

  4. Wait for a yes. Never install anything without one. If they say no, do the task without the command and say what went unchecked.

  5. Once it is installed, confirm with structure --version, then run structure check once in this folder and report what it found in a sentence or two. A fresh company passes; warnings about drafts are documents waiting to be read and ratified, not mistakes.
